Theme Overview
Lent invites us to slow down, notice what is broken, and imagine what healing might look like together. The Work of Imagination frames this season as sacred labor—holding grief and hope side by side, and trusting that transformation is possible even in the shadow of empire. Rooted in prophetic imagination, this Lent–Easter series invites communities to practice justice and mercy not only through words, but through shared, creative expression.
This resource opens space for intergenerational creativity and reflection, inviting individuals and communities to gather for conversation, reflection, and puzzling!
Description
For each character highlighted in The Work of Imagination, we offer two puzzle options. The characters are Jesus, the Disciple, the Canaanite Woman, the Hired Hand, the Coin Bearer, the Jerusalem Resident, and Mary Magdalene. Each puzzle comes in two sizes:
- 252 pieces (11x14”): This size is perfect for an individual or a small group of 2–4 people.
- 520 pieces (16x20”): This is a larger puzzle and would allow a group of 4–6 to work comfortably around the puzzle.
Order a puzzle (or two, or all of them!) for your youth group to work on, or perhaps each small group in your church (children’s ministry, youth ministry, adult education, women’s/men’s Bible studies) would have a puzzle to work on throughout Lent and Holy Week.
