About the Volumes

Volume 1: Extraordinary Leaders: This series explores four unique stories of women you may not have heard of in the Bible. Including passages from the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament, this curriculum highlights the critical roles of women in the stories of our faith. At the conclusion of this curriculum, youth should be able to identify a significant leadership trait for each woman, understand how these women worked with God to bring hope and deliverance, and examine how these stories form new ideas about the role of women in the church and society.

Volume 2: Extraordinary Youth: This series explores four unique stories of youth in the Bible. Including passages from the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament, this curriculum highlights the critical roles of youth (both children and teenagers) in the stories of our faith. At the conclusion of this curriculum, youth should be able to identify a significant trait for biblical youth and understand how these youth respond to God’s call with action, hope, resilience, and creativity. Youth will be able to examine how these stories highlight power dynamics in Scripture and in the world, and in turn, feel empowered to notice, respond, and use their voices and gifts to address the injustices they see around them.

Great games

The games are great and fit right in and the kids love them. The content seems a little light and repetitive but nice for shorter time if needed. I would use again and recommend.

Excellent all around! Age appropriate and engaging, Theologically rich, and Easy to Use!

We utilized this study as part of our confirmation class and it was a big hit! The youth found the study interesting and engaging. As a facilitator, it checked all the boxes I look for. The content was refreshingly fitting for our progressive setting. It was nice not to have to reframe or rewrite for our context - a rarity! And it was easy to use. The curriculum needed very little modifications, included helpful content and context for our adult leaders who led the lessons, and I really appreciated the options for chill games and active games. This can be used and easily adapted for a variety of settings, formats, and groups. Thank you to the writers and illustrators. I hope there are more volumes to come!

By far the best curriculum I've ever seen in any setting in any subject area

As a former public school teacher and current Director of Educational Ministries, I have seen many curricula. I have NEVER been able to utilize a curriculum "straight through" without adapting either the content (often not progressive enough when it comes to Christian curriculum) or pedagogy (methods used to teach, often not engaging enough in any setting or subject area). This curriculum is a total GEM. Cannot wait until the next Volume comes out...soon I hope :)

Great Conversation Facilitators

We're two weeks into using this curriculum and both of the conversations that we had surrounding the various leaders were awesome. Thie curriculum is incredibly thorough in laying out the night for you, giving suggestions for the supplies you need, and offering a variety of media tools to engage the students well. The students have appreciated that we ventured to parts of the Bible typically less explored and had awesome discussions!

Versatile and Engaging!

It's so refreshing to not have to rewrite a youth curriculum and be able to use one "as is". We have been loving learning about leaders of the Bible that we don't typically pay attention to. The two game options are great depending on the day and size of our group. Youth are engaged and the material is relevant and applicable to their lives today. Would love to see other topics/series as well!!

We Can't Wait For Subsequent Volumes

The first lesson on Deborah was very enthusiastically received by both our youth and co-leaders. It kept them all engaged and sparked great discussion. We spent a good 75 minutes, at least, with the lesson, if not longer. Everyone is looking forward to the next 3 lessons in this volume.
