About the Volumes

Volume 1: Extraordinary Leaders: This series explores four unique stories of women you may not have heard of in the Bible. Including passages from the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament, this curriculum highlights the critical roles of women in the stories of our faith. At the conclusion of this curriculum, youth should be able to identify a significant leadership trait for each woman, understand how these women worked with God to bring hope and deliverance, and examine how these stories form new ideas about the role of women in the church and society.

Volume 2: Extraordinary Youth: This series explores four unique stories of youth in the Bible. Including passages from the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament, this curriculum highlights the critical roles of youth (both children and teenagers) in the stories of our faith. At the conclusion of this curriculum, youth should be able to identify a significant trait for biblical youth and understand how these youth respond to God’s call with action, hope, resilience, and creativity. Youth will be able to examine how these stories highlight power dynamics in Scripture and in the world, and in turn, feel empowered to notice, respond, and use their voices and gifts to address the injustices they see around them.
