The coloring illustrations are based on the following scripture passages, which come from the Revised Common Lectionary: Year A Trinity Sunday through Proper 16 (21). 

  • June 11 Trinity Sunday: Genesis 1:1-2:4a
  • June 18 Proper 6 (11): Genesis 18:1-15, (21:1-7)
  • June 25 Proper 7 (12) : Genesis 21:8-21
  • July 2 Proper 8 (13): Psalm 13:5-6
  • July 9 Proper 9 (14): Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30
  • July 16 Proper 10 (15): Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23
  • July 23 Proper 11 (16): Genesis 28:10-19a
  • July 30 Proper 12 (17): Matthew 13:31-33, 44-52
  • August 6 Proper 13 (18): Genesis 32:22-31 AND Matthew 14:13-21 (a bonus illustration!)
  • August 13 Proper 14 (19): Matthew 14:22-33
  • August 20 Proper 15 (20): Genesis 45:1-15

Worked well!
I am responsible for the children's sermons and children's church. I used the coloring sheets for the first time and both boys and girls were engaged and occupied by the details. They were proud of their little "posters" and were eager to show them to their families when they were finished. As it can be a challenge to keep them busy the whole time I have them, it was a relief to have these sheets as a viable option for their activities!
