Volunteers play a crucial role in every community, and it’s important to recognize the time, energy, and love they share. This Volunteer Appreciation Worship Liturgy is written to celebrate the volunteers in your congregation as you thank them for their service to your worshiping community.
We hope this liturgy will inspire your volunteers in the good, important work they do and empower your congregation to continue sharing appreciation in their own ways. Feel free to tweak the prayers and litanies to work for your worship leaders and community.
This liturgy would be perfect for a Volunteer Appreciation/Recognition Sunday, and it will help take care of some of the planning for that—we always strive to make our customers' jobs easier!
The liturgy consists of the following elements:
- Call to Worship
- Opening Prayer
- Passing of the Peace
- Additional Prayer
- Prayers of the People
- Prayer for the Offering
- Charge and Benediction
